I, Marwa Moukhalalati, grew up in Lebanon, where my family runs a decoration business named Articles. In my early twenties, having witnessed how hard my parents worked to raise us and maintain the business, I set myself a goal to participate in the family business and help it grow. I worked in our family business in Lebanon for a few years before moving to the United States to be with my husband.
As I started a new life far away from my family, I found myself reminiscing about the little things that reminded me of home — the Ramadan decorations, Eid party favors, and Arabic home decor accents that were part of every holiday and family gathering. Two years passed after moving to the USA, and with that, two years of holidays without being able to decorate my home with the culturally resonant pieces I had grown so accustomed to. With the unwavering support of my husband, Ahmed, and my beloved family, I launched Bayt Articles from our home in Florida.
Today, Bayt Articles blends the beauty of Arabic and Islamic art with contemporary design to create collections of Ramadan & Eid decor, Moroccan lanterns, Arabic coffee sets, handmade Middle Eastern decor, and Levantine artisan gifts. Our Levantine collection proudly highlights the craftsmanship and traditions of Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Palestine, each country contributing its unique artistry and cultural heritage. Every piece is thoughtfully curated with contributions from each member of the Moukhalalati family.
